Further the advancement of the GovNet infrastructure
Madam Speaker, in the 2022-2023 financial year eGov will focus on the further advancement of the GovNet infrastructure. This will be done through the:
• the buildout of the fibre network in the KMA;
• the buildout of the network core by receiving, installing and configuring the networking equipment;
• the laying of the fibre cables across the KMA; and
• the connecting of the fifty (50) entities onto the network.

The Ministry, Madam Speaker, has also consulted the Fair Trading Commission on the matter, which has provided recommendations… Madam Speaker, these recommendations are being advanced as we speak, with the public education campaign slated to be launched within the first quarter of the new financial year.
