Public procurement is the process by which the government buys the goods, services and works it needs to function and to maximize the public’s welfare. Over the last five years, Jamaica spent on average JMD$338 Billion annually, via contracts with the private sector. This dashboard lets you explore what contracts were awarded (2006-2020), by who, to whom, at what value, when and using what type of procurement method. It’s your money, you earned it and contributed to the public purse via taxes – FOLLOW YOUR MONEY.
Note: JAMP has not been able to update the tool since the last quarter of 2020 when the Integrity Commission’s interpretation of Section 56.1 of the Act led to a cessation of public access to their Quarterly Contract Award database. The matter is currently being reviewed by the Joint Select Committee of Parliament. We anticipate a decision that will allow for the update of this tool.
