Nigel Clarke MP
Political Career: Is serving as a Member of Parliament in the constituency of St. Andrew North Western (as of March 2018) and as Minister of Finance and the Public Service. In 2016 he served as Ambassador Plenipotentiary for Economic Affairs in the Office of the Prime Minister and also served as an Opposition Senator (2013-2015).
Civic Activities: He has served on the Board of the Bank of Jamaica, as Chairman of the Port Authority of Jamaica, Chairman of the National Housing Trust and HEART Trust NTA. He is a recipient of the Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica “50 under 50” Business Leadership Award.
Profession: He was formerly a Company Director and business executive. Served as Vice Chairman of the Musson Group and Chairman of Eppley Ltd as well as several executive positions at the NCB Financial Group, Red Stripe, Jamaican Broilers Group and Seprod Ltd.
Education: He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Math and Computer Science, UWI, a MSc in Applied Statistics (1994) and a PhD in Numerical Analysis (1997). He is a recipient of both a Commonwealth and Rhodes Scholarship.
