Auditor General's Findings

The 2016/2017 Annual Report from the Auditor General of Jamaica revealed that, since 2013, the Pharmacy Council of Jamaica has not maintained the requisite Fixed Assets Register to account for the assets acquired. This breakdown of control increased the risk of misappropriation of assets going undetected.

JAMP Update

JAMP requested documentation to substantiate that the Fixed Assets Register was now up to date. We received email on December 4, 2019 advising that the “Fixed Assets Register” is now up to date.

The Fixed Assets Schedule was also provided showing updates up to the end of the year, March 31, 2019 (See attachment below). The findings will be shared with the Auditor General’s Department
