Auditor General's Findings

The Corporate Governance Framework document recommends that the members of the audit committee should be independent of any material relationship with the entity. We noted that the Director of Tourism (DOT) is a member of the Audit and Finance Committee. This arrangement represents a conflict of interest as one of the roles of the audit and finance committee includes an examination of the stewardship of the DOT as it relates to his governance practices.
