Parliamentarian

Political Career: MP Samuda is currently serving as a Member of Parliament (MP) for St. Ann North Eastern, representing the Jamaica Labour Party. He first won the seat in a by-election on September 30, 2024. Following his successful election, he was assigned on October 30, 2024, as Minister without Portfolio with responsibility for Water. MP Samuda was appointed the Minister of Water, Environment & Climate Change. Mr. Samuda served eight years in the Senate. MP Samuda serves on the following Parliamentary committees:

• Integrity Commission Oversight
• Standing Finance

Civic Duties: He has served as President of the G2K, the young professional affiliate arm of the Jamaica Labour Party.

Education: He is a graduate of Campion College and the University of the West Indies.
