Office of Utilities Regulation

The Office of Utilities Regulation (OUR) is an independent Jamaican regulatory body established by an Act of Parliament in 1995, with operations commencing in January 1997. The OUR is the multi-utility regulator responsible for the regulation and monitoring of prescribed utility service sectors including electricity, telecommunications, and water and sewerage, in accordance with the OUR Act. The Office comprises six members appointed by the Governor General, with the Director General serving as an ex-officio member.
