Invest J$15M in 120 schools under the Cricket Incubator programme
Cricket Incubator has shown promise and we will now extend it through a partnership involving INSPORTS, the SDF, the Ministry of Education and Youth, and the Jamaica Cricket Association. Through the Sports Development Foundation (SDF), the government will invest J$15M in 120 schools under this initiative through which the Jamaica Cricket Association will be able to spot and nurture talent for the national programme.

Renovate National Stadium
Legacy programme: Among the legacy projects are the redevelopment of the National Stadium which will include covering the bleachers, removing the cycle track, installing more comfortable seating, establishing a new stand, new concession areas and facilities for holding meetings and conferences.

JADCO to increase testing of national and international footballers and athletes.
JADCO is now part of the Concacaf Project and will increase testing of national and international footballers. Additionally, JADCO will increase testing of athletes who qualify for the various disciplines at the upcoming Athletics World Championships and the Commonwealth Games.

Establishment of the Sexual Harassment Tribunal
We’re doing the work towards the full implementation of the legislation. The Sexual Harassment Unit — which will investigate complaints is being put in place. We started the recruitment for the Unit and will have some officers on board as of July 1, 2022.
